# spliTrac vs LockNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: LockNote at every 3 days against spliTrac's every 2 weeks. spliTrac's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. spliTrac sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per month and LockNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

spliTrac ships an update every 2 weeks, LockNote every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
