# MindKeep Pro vs DOS Focus

The clearest difference is rating: MindKeep Pro at 5.0 against DOS Focus's 4.0. MindKeep Pro also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). DOS Focus's advantage is iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindKeep Pro sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and DOS Focus sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindKeep Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MindKeep Pro has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

MindKeep Pro ships an update monthly, DOS Focus every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
