# PicSeed vs Apper

The clearest difference is update cadence: Apper at every 2 days against PicSeed's fortnightly. PicSeed's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PicSeed sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Apper sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PicSeed ships an update fortnightly, Apper every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
