# Ring Sizer vs taxFiles

The clearest difference is rating: taxFiles at 5.0 against Ring Sizer's 4.6. taxFiles also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). Ring Sizer's advantage is ratings volume (177 vs 4) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ring Sizer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and taxFiles sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

taxFiles holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ring Sizer has 177 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Ring Sizer ships an update monthly, taxFiles every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
