# Fix It Your Darn Self vs Breve

The clearest difference is monetization model: Fix It Your Darn Self at free against Breve's free with in-app purchases. Fix It Your Darn Self also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). Breve's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fix It Your Darn Self sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Breve sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Fix It Your Darn Self against 4.9 for Breve. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Breve has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
