# Habit Tracker vs Evolve

The clearest difference is ads: Habit Tracker at none against Evolve's shown. Habit Tracker also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 10) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Evolve's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 87%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Habit Tracker against 5.0 for Evolve. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Habit Tracker has 3.5K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of Habit Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of Evolve's.

Habit Tracker ships an update every 2 months, Evolve every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
