# Habit Tracker vs SmartScroll

Habit Tracker and SmartScroll both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 87% of Habit Tracker's written reviews are positive against 33% of SmartScroll's. Habit Tracker also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 6). SmartScroll's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SmartScroll sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Habit Tracker asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Habit Tracker against 4.8 for SmartScroll. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Habit Tracker has 3.3K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 87% of Habit Tracker's written reviews are positive against 33% of SmartScroll's.

Habit Tracker ships an update every 2 months, SmartScroll every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
