# WTBackup vs Remes

The clearest difference is rating: Remes at 4.2 against WTBackup's 3.7. Remes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (97 vs 3). WTBackup's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (100% vs 79%). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WTBackup sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Remes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Remes holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Remes has 97 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of WTBackup's written reviews are positive against 79% of Remes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WTBackup ships an update every 2 months, Remes fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
