# Citer vs Noteback

The clearest difference is update cadence: Noteback at every 6 days against Citer's every 2 weeks. Citer's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Citer sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Noteback sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Citer ships an update every 2 weeks, Noteback every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
