# Flashcards vs ZipCard

The clearest difference is update cadence: Flashcards at every 3 days against ZipCard's fortnightly. Flashcards also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flashcards sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and ZipCard sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flashcards ships an update every 3 days, ZipCard fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
