# Ems vs Kroner

The clearest difference is ads: Kroner at none against Ems's shown. Kroner also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months). Ems's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ems sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Kroner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ems ships an update every 3 months, Kroner every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
