# Dark Notes vs 典妻

The clearest difference is rating: Dark Notes at 4.7 against 典妻's 1.0. Dark Notes also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 2). 典妻's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (56% vs 43%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dark Notes sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. 典妻 asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dark Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dark Notes has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Dark Notes's written reviews are positive against 56% of 典妻's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 18, 2026.
