# Minimal vs AppList.

The clearest difference is monetization model: AppList. at free against Minimal's free with in-app purchases. AppList. also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (31 vs 7). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Minimal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AppList. sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Minimal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 31 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Minimal ships an update every 2 months, AppList. every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
