# hype vs This or That

The clearest difference is ratings volume: hype at 5 against This or That's 1. On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for hype against 5.0 for This or That. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: hype has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
