# SSC Testbook vs Stargate academy

The clearest difference is update cadence: SSC Testbook at every 3 days against Stargate academy's every 11 months. SSC Testbook also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SSC Testbook sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Stargate academy sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SSC Testbook ships an update every 3 days, Stargate academy every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
