# BeanSay vs Step forward

The clearest difference is update cadence: BeanSay at every 6 days against Step forward's every 6 weeks. Step forward's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeanSay sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Step forward sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BeanSay ships an update every 6 days, Step forward every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
