# Period vs MBody

Period and MBody both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MBody's written reviews are positive against 54% of Period's. Period's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (2.8K vs 27). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MBody sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Period asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Period against 5.0 for MBody. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Period has 2.8K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 54% of Period's written reviews are positive against 100% of MBody's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
