# Cloud Point vs Clear Outside

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Clear Outside at none against Cloud Point's 2. Clear Outside also leads on ads (none vs shown) and chart position (#200 vs unranked). Cloud Point's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (44 vs 6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cloud Point sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Clear Outside asks for nothing beyond the download.

Cloud Point holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cloud Point has 44 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Cloud Point's written reviews are positive against 71% of Clear Outside's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cloud Point ships an update fortnightly, Clear Outside every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
