# Dots Agent vs Raycast

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dots Agent at 100% against Raycast's 54%. Dots Agent also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 18.0). Raycast's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dots Agent sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Raycast sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dots Agent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Raycast has 250 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Dots Agent's written reviews are positive against 54% of Raycast's.

Dots Agent ships an update every 3 months, Raycast every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
