# Calc vs Tasks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Calc at none against Tasks's 7. Calc also leads on ratings volume (44 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Tasks's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tasks sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Calc asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tasks holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calc has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Calc ships an update every 3 weeks, Tasks weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
