# ParentPlus vs Sadlier Reader

The clearest difference is rating: Sadlier Reader at 3.7 against ParentPlus's 1.7. Sadlier Reader also leads on iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). ParentPlus's advantage is update cadence (every 5 months vs every 25 months) and ratings volume (254 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sadlier Reader holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ParentPlus has 254 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 6% of ParentPlus's written reviews are positive against 0% of Sadlier Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ParentPlus ships an update every 5 months, Sadlier Reader every 25 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
