# Stopwatch vs Timr

The clearest difference is ads: Timr at none against Stopwatch's shown. Timr also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 24 months). Stopwatch's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stopwatch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Timr sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.69 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stopwatch ships an update every 24 months, Timr weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
