# Palette vs Drape

The clearest difference is rating: Drape at 5.0 against Palette's 4.3. Palette's advantage is ratings volume (1.9K vs 3) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palette sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Drape sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drape holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Palette has 1.9K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Palette ships an update every 11 days, Drape every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
