# The Passport vs XYM

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: The Passport at none against XYM's 1. The Passport also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (343 vs 8). XYM's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. XYM sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. The Passport asks for nothing beyond the download.

XYM holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Passport has 343 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

The Passport ships an update monthly, XYM every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
