# Backgammon vs Molecule

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Backgammon at none against Molecule's 1. Backgammon also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Molecule's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 11 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Molecule sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Backgammon asks for nothing beyond the download.

Backgammon ships an update every 11 months, Molecule every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
