# pillowtalk vs Same

The clearest difference is ratings volume: pillowtalk at 350 against Same's 6. Same's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days) and review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. pillowtalk sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.90 per month and Same sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for pillowtalk against 5.0 for Same. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: pillowtalk has 350 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of pillowtalk's written reviews are positive against 100% of Same's.

pillowtalk ships an update every 11 days, Same every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
