# PocketTarot Reading vs I Ching

The clearest difference is rating: I Ching at 5.0 against PocketTarot Reading's 4.4. PocketTarot Reading's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PocketTarot Reading sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and I Ching sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

I Ching holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PocketTarot Reading has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PocketTarot Reading ships an update every 9 days, I Ching every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
