# Dietbox vs Alimente

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dietbox at none against Alimente's 10. Dietbox also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Alimente's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 28%). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alimente sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Dietbox asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dietbox holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dietbox has 1.2K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Dietbox's written reviews are positive against 42% of Alimente's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
