# Brain Training vs Brain points

The clearest difference is ads: Brain Training at none against Brain points's shown. Brain Training also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and update cadence (every 7 months vs every 19 months). Brain points's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 33%) and ratings volume (48 vs 4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Brain Training holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brain points has 48 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Brain Training's written reviews are positive against 67% of Brain points's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
