# August Home vs August Mobile

The clearest difference is review sentiment: August Mobile at 100% against August Home's 30%. August Mobile also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). August Home's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (175K vs 5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

August Home holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: August Home has 175K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of August Home's written reviews are positive against 100% of August Mobile's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

August Home ships an update fortnightly, August Mobile every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
