# Interceptions vs IFR Flight Simulator

The clearest difference is price: IFR Flight Simulator at Free against Interceptions's $0.99. IFR Flight Simulator also leads on rating (4.3 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (103 vs 2). Interceptions's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and review sentiment (75% vs 64%). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

IFR Flight Simulator is free to download; Interceptions costs $0.99 up front. IFR Flight Simulator sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Interceptions asks for nothing beyond the download.

IFR Flight Simulator holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IFR Flight Simulator has 103 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Interceptions's written reviews are positive against 64% of IFR Flight Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Interceptions ships an update every 3 weeks, IFR Flight Simulator weekly. Both last shipped on October 9, 2026.
