# The World Flags * vs Flag Ceremony

The clearest difference is rating: The World Flags * at 4.7 against Flag Ceremony's 3.8. The World Flags * also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 39 months) and ratings volume (615 vs 4). Flag Ceremony's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The World Flags * sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Flag Ceremony asks for nothing beyond the download.

The World Flags * holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The World Flags * has 615 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of The World Flags *'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Flag Ceremony's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
