# Coptic Reader vs Spirit & Truth

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Coptic Reader at 11K against Spirit & Truth's 107. Coptic Reader also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Coptic Reader holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Coptic Reader has 11K ratings behind it against 107, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 92% and 92% positive.

Coptic Reader ships an update fortnightly, Spirit & Truth every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
