# Goth AI vs AI Note Taker

The clearest difference is ads: AI Note Taker at none against Goth AI's shown. Goth AI's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 115). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goth AI sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and AI Note Taker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Goth AI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Goth AI has 1.2K ratings behind it against 115, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Goth AI's written reviews are positive against 42% of AI Note Taker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Goth AI ships an update monthly, AI Note Taker fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
