# Black Stories vs Elements Evolved

The clearest difference is ads: Elements Evolved at none against Black Stories's shown. Elements Evolved also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Black Stories's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Black Stories sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Elements Evolved sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Black Stories against 5.0 for Elements Evolved. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Black Stories has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Black Stories ships an update every 5 weeks, Elements Evolved every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
