# PPSSPP vs UniPad

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UniPad at none against PPSSPP's 1. UniPad also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). PPSSPP's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PPSSPP sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. UniPad asks for nothing beyond the download.

UniPad holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PPSSPP has 2.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of PPSSPP's written reviews are positive against 100% of UniPad's.

PPSSPP ships an update every 4 weeks, UniPad every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
