# SelfQuest vs DMV PT

The clearest difference is rating: DMV PT at 5.0 against SelfQuest's 4.1. DMV PT also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 70%). SelfQuest's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (481 vs 3). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SelfQuest sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and DMV PT sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $250.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DMV PT holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SelfQuest has 481 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of SelfQuest's written reviews are positive against 100% of DMV PT's.

SelfQuest ships an update every 6 days, DMV PT every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 2, 2026.
