# Bandolier vs Jelly.

The clearest difference is monetization model: Jelly. at free against Bandolier's free with in-app purchases. Jelly. also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). Bandolier's advantage is ratings volume (232 vs 3). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bandolier against 5.0 for Jelly.. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bandolier has 232 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bandolier ships an update fortnightly, Jelly. every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
