# Purdy Connect vs dual

The clearest difference is rating: Purdy Connect at 5.0 against dual's 4.1. Purdy Connect also leads on iOS requirement (15.0.0 vs 17.0). dual's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Purdy Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: dual has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Purdy Connect ships an update every 2 months, dual fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
