# Rock vs Aerton

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Aerton at none against Rock's 3. Aerton also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Rock's advantage is ratings volume (61 vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Aerton asks for nothing beyond the download.

Aerton holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rock has 61 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rock ships an update every 3 weeks, Aerton every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
