# Le Monde vs Mondly

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Mondly at 33K against Le Monde's 12. Mondly also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and chart position (#195 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Le Monde sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Mondly sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Le Monde against 4.7 for Mondly. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mondly has 33K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 82% of Le Monde's written reviews are positive against 74% of Mondly's.

Le Monde ships an update every 2 months, Mondly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
