# Echo vs Bads

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Echo at 17.0 against Bads's 26.2. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Bads sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Echo ships an update fortnightly, Bads every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
