# E vs Terminal & SSH

The clearest difference is update cadence: Terminal & SSH at every 4 days against E's every 2 months. E's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. E sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Terminal & SSH sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

E ships an update every 2 months, Terminal & SSH every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
