# Epistle vs PrayerPlan+

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Epistle at 12 against PrayerPlan+'s 2. Epistle also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Epistle sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and PrayerPlan+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrayerPlan+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Epistle has 12 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Epistle ships an update every 3 weeks, PrayerPlan+ every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
