# Epistle vs TimeBlocks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TimeBlocks at none against Epistle's 5. TimeBlocks also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Epistle's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Epistle sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. TimeBlocks asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Epistle against 5.0 for TimeBlocks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Epistle has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Epistle ships an update every 3 weeks, TimeBlocks weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
