# Split Screen vs Slate

The clearest difference is ads: Slate at none against Split Screen's shown. Split Screen's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Split Screen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Slate sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
