# Envilink vs Security Camera for Home

The clearest difference is rating: Security Camera for Home at 4.3 against Envilink's 1.8. Security Camera for Home also leads on ratings volume (2.7K vs 5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Envilink's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (50% vs 20%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Security Camera for Home sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Envilink asks for nothing beyond the download.

Security Camera for Home holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Security Camera for Home has 2.7K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Envilink's written reviews are positive against 20% of Security Camera for Home's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Envilink ships an update every 3 months, Security Camera for Home every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
