# Tabula vs 5 Seconds

The clearest difference is review sentiment: 5 Seconds at 100% against Tabula's 40%. 5 Seconds also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Tabula's advantage is ratings volume (150 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tabula sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and 5 Seconds sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

5 Seconds holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tabula has 150 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 40% of Tabula's written reviews are positive against 100% of 5 Seconds's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
