# ChatMap vs The Peer Way

The clearest difference is rating: The Peer Way at 5.0 against ChatMap's 3.8. The Peer Way also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). ChatMap's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The Peer Way sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. ChatMap asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Peer Way holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatMap has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ChatMap ships an update every 3 weeks, The Peer Way every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
