# Sunlight Hours vs SkyCue

The clearest difference is ads: SkyCue at none against Sunlight Hours's shown. Sunlight Hours's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sunlight Hours sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and SkyCue sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sunlight Hours ships an update every 3 days, SkyCue every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
